Can we attach a 18-55mm Lens to 70-300mm lens? What happens when we do this. What will be the magnification?

Helo All,
Iam using canon 1000D (Rebel xs) camera. the default lens i have is 18-55mm kit lens. Now i am planning to purchase 70-300mm lens. But i want to do macro also with it. can i achieve maximum magnification if i can attach (don’t know it is possible or not) my kit lens to telephoto lens. And can it allow me to zoom more than 300 mm? And 300 mm means how much distance i can cover (means 100, 200……. meters).
you would need a ring reversal to attach them together and it will allow extreme macro… but do nothing for adding zoom to your lens… if you hold the lenses together you can see how it works till you get the ring

Not possible! Period.

No, you can’t do it. I suggest you buy a macro telephoto lens rather than the 70-300. BTW, the "MM" designation on a lens doesn’t have anything to do with the length in meters you can shoot. It is a reference to the focal length of the lens.

Simple answer – NO.
